What Separates a Professional Interior Detail from a Quick Clean

Phase 1: Pre-Inspection and Trash Removal

Before any cleaning begins, the detailer inspects the interior under bright lighting to identify problem areas - stains, odor sources, damaged trim. All loose items and trash are removed. Floor mats are pulled out and set aside for separate cleaning.

Phase 2: Dry Extraction

A high-powered vacuum with multiple attachments is used to extract loose dirt, pet hair, crumbs, and debris from:

• Seats (all seams, crevices, and under-seat rails)
• Carpet and floor mats
• Door panels and door pockets
• Dashboard vents (narrow crevice tool)
• Center console and cup holders

Phase 3: Surface Cleaning

Each surface type gets the appropriate product and method. Plastic and vinyl trim is cleaned with an all-purpose cleaner on a microfiber cloth - never a wet wipe that leaves streaks. Rubber seals and gaskets get a dedicated rubber conditioner. Vents are cleaned with a soft detail brush to dislodge built-up dust without damaging fins.

Phase 4: Carpet and Mat Extraction

Pre-spray is applied to all carpet areas and allowed to dwell. Floor mats are scrubbed with a stiff brush and extracted with hot water. Carpet inside the vehicle is extracted in overlapping passes. Phase 5: Seat Cleaning

Fabric seats are pre-sprayed, agitated, and extracted. Leather seats are cleaned with a pH-neutral leather cleaner on a soft brush, then conditioned with a leather conditioner that replenishes natural oils and prevents cracking. Phase 6: Glass and Mirror Cleaning

The top inch of each window (where the glass retracts into the door) is cleaned with the window slightly lowered.

Phase 7: Final Dressing and Odor Treatment

If an odor elimination treatment was requested, an ozone treatment or enzyme-based odor neutralizer is applied at this stage.
